Hi, my name is Ruben Melendez. I began playing music in church at the age of 11 and have been in love with it ever since. I studied K-12 music education at Dallas Baptist University, and I recently completed my masters degree in Music Theory at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Hi, my name is Sam! I grew in Mansfield, Texas. I have loved to sing my whole. entire. life. However, my formal training in music did not begin until freshman year of high school. Fun fact, I actually attended voice lessons here with Sarah Darby (owner of Destiny)!
I went on to major in Music Education at Dallas Baptist University. I am so glad I did. My experience at DBU changed the trajectory of my whole life, and I am incredibly grateful that God led me to that University.

Hi y’all! My name is Alyssa Perdue, and I'm from Mansfield, TX. (: I have always had a love for singing, but started really developing my art in high school at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, TX. I went on to receive my Bachelor of Musical Arts from Dallas Baptist University with an emphasis in Church Music. I am passionate about training up musicians who are not only musically and technically proficient, but have an immense joy and love for what they do!

Hello! My name is Evan Jones and I was born and raised in Northern California with a few detours to Spain, Missouri and Austin, Texas along the way. I recently graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts in Music and during my time in college I produced, recorded, mixed and mastered 3 studio albums under the name Evan the Astrokid, as well as 2 film scores used by the SAGU Digital Media Arts Department in their short films. And now that I have graduated I am so incredibly grateful and excited to be a part of the Destiny Studio team!
