EDUCATION & BACKGROUND
Bachelor of Science in Songwriting and Music Business, Belmont University
Hey friends! I'm Kiara, a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and front-woman of Crash Through the Floor from Arlington, Texas!
Growing up, my dad always had a guitar in his hand, and I'd watch in awe. By the time I was eight, he put one in mine, -- and that's when I knew my passion was music. I took part in school talent shows, children's choir, and guitar lessons with my late instructor, Brian Lacy of Guitar Studio of Arlington, who gave me a wonderful foundation of music. Then "the invisible string" led me to Destiny Studio, where my coaches helped turn that spark into a flame, fostering my guitar and singing skills.
Through Destiny (and their artist development program, Spotlight Society), I started strumming and singing along to my favorite songs all over the DFW metroplex. I even started writing my own songs, participated in All-State choir, and picked up the piano in high school.
Since then, I've become my own singer-songwriter with music on all streaming platforms (under both Kiara Mullins and Crash Through the Floor), performed at venues in multiple states, and completed my B.S. in Songwriting and Music Business from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. When I'm not making music, you can find me with a Dr Pepper in hand at the movies, hanging out at a coffee shop, or going on a run.
Whether you're wanting to learn how to sing your favorite song, pluck out a classic tune, or write a song, I'd love to be a part of your journey. Because of Destiny, I went from being a dreamer to a doer, and I want to help others do the same. If music's your passion, let's cultivate it together, build confidence and skill, and take you to the stars! You are worthy!
